Chesterfield

Julian Chesterfield is the Director of Emerging Technologies at OnApp, responsible for the OnApp distributed block storage platform. OnApp Infrastructure as a Service software powers over a third of the public cloud providing some unique technological challenges in the area of scale and performance. Prior to OnApp he was the storage architect at XenSource, the Cambridge University spin-out company responsible for developing the Xen Open Source hypervisor acquired by Citrix systems in 2006. Previously, Chesterfield was a member of the AT&T Research labs in Menlo Park, CA specializing in wide area group communication protocol definition. 

Julian Chesterfield has a PhD in Computer Science from Cambridge University and an MSc from University College London.
