Vicente Martín

Prof. Vicente Martín: Assoc. Prof. of Computational Science, Ph. D. Physics U. Autónoma de Madrid on the numerical simulation of quantum systems has taught scientific computing and parallel programming for more than 10 years. He is a member of the foundational committee of the “Specialized Group in Quantum Information and Computing” of the Spanish Royal Society of Physics. He has directed and participated in 20 projects, co-authored more than 40 contributions (many of them in high impact journals), holds three patents and has contributed to several standards. Currently, he is the head of CeSViMa and leads the UPM “Quantum Information and Computation Group” and the effort to build the QKD network prototype. He is also a European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) Industry Specification Group (ISG) on QKD and serves as the rapporteur with responsibility for standards in Integration with Standard Networks.
